Finding a publication or product
Search function
You can conveniently access the Acco Medical database through our search engine. The search function is available at the top of every page in the yellow bar.
Enter one or more terms in the search field and click Search to submit your query. You can search by criteria such as author, title, keyword, editor or ISBN, or combine criteria to generate a more accurate result.
If you enter more than one term, the search engine will search the database for publications containing all of these words. In other words, the terms are linked by “AND” rather than “OR”.
Advanced search function
The advanced search function offers numerous options to customise your search and generate more accurate results. Click the Advanced Search link and complete as many fields as possible in the window Advanced Search to refine your Search.
You can find the Advanced search option next to the search field in the yellow bar.
Browsing the Acco Medical database
From the left navigation on our homepage you can easily consult the Acco Medical database. In Browse by topic, you can browse for publications on related topics. In Browse by publisher, publications are grouped by publisher.
You can narrow your search by sub-topic, language, publication date, product type, price and specials.
At this point, you can further refine your search by sorting the database entries by publication date, title, author or price. The Sort by option is located at the top of each page which is generated from the Refine by feature.
Placing an order
You can place an order online with Acco Medical in a few simple steps.
Register
To order online with Acco Medical you need to be registered. You can register by clicking New Customer? Start here. in the top right corner of each page and then clicking the Register button.
Complete the registration by following the remaining steps:
- Enter your personal info
- Enter your address details
- Select your areas of interest
- Indicate whether you would like to subscribe to our newsletter
- Create a password (your login is protected by a password of your choice)
After completing the registration process, you will receive an e-mail. Clicking the link in the email will activate your registration. Once your registration is activated, you can place orders online.
Order
You can order a publication by clicking the Add to cart button, located near each item in the database. A summary of your shopping chart will appear. You complete your order by following the step-by-step order process.
To view your Shopping Cart contents or complete your order you can also click Shopping Cart in the top right corner of each page.
For publications that are not yet available, the Add to cart button is replaced by a Notify me button. By clicking Notify me, a page is opened where you can enter your e-mail address to receive notification as soon as the publication is available from Acco Medical.
View shopping cart
On the View shopping cart page, you can view the contents of your order. Carefully check the items and quantities.
To add items to your order, click the Continue Shopping button.
To remove an item from your order, click Remove or change the quantity to zero.
Click Next to proceed to the next step.
Login
Customers need to be logged in to place an order online. If you are not logged in, you will receive a prompt to enter your login details.
New customers need to register before they can place orders online.
Click Next to proceed to the next step.
Choose delivery and payment option
Delivery option
When ordering online, you can choose to have your order delivered to your home or office, or you can pick it up from an Acco bookstore.
Make your choice from the drop down menu:
- Ship to me
- Pick up in store
If you are picking up your order from one of our bookstores, an additional drop down menu will appear from which you select the store of your choice.
Payment option
When ordering online with Acco Medical, you can choose between different payment options, depending on the delivery method that you have selected and the country you are ordering from.
Ship to me:
- Pay online
- Pay by invoice
Pick up at store:
- Pay online
- Pay by invoice
- Pay in store
Select your preferred payment option from the drop down menu. These options may differ depending on the country you are ordering from.

Click Next to proceed to the next step.
Check and confirm order
On the Check and confirm order page, you can view your order summary, including the items you wish to purchase, the quantity and price of each item, as well as the total amount, shipping costs and personal discount.
You can also find a summary of your preferred delivery and payment method. Should you wish to make any changes at this stage, simply click Change. Any changes made at this stage are only valid for the current order. If these changes also apply to future orders, please update your details in My Acco.
If you have specific comments please add them after Your message to us.
Click Next to proceed to the next step.
Pay
Customers who have opted to pay by invoice or in store, receive a message confirming their payment option on the Pay page.
Customers who have opted to pay online, complete the step-by-step payment process. The payment is processed by payment provider Ogone.
Take the necessary action and click Finish to complete the order process and view your order summary. You will receive an order confirmation by e-mail. Acco Medical will contact you in the near future with an estimated delivery time.
